Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our spice blends.
Most seasonings are designed for one thing: flavor. Our blends are also crafted for flavor — but they're made from 35+ whole ingredients like turmeric, ginger, garlic, oregano, cumin, and sumac that have been valued across cultures for centuries for their role in supporting overall wellness.
Every blend contains 8-13 ingredients, each chosen for both its culinary character and its traditional significance. These aren't just seasonings — they're whole spice ingredients with centuries of heritage behind them.
Every spice blend is made from whole spice ingredients that have been used in traditional wellness practices for centuries. Turmeric and ginger are traditionally valued for supporting a healthy inflammatory response. Cumin and cardamom are associated with digestive comfort. Oregano and thyme are recognized for their high antioxidant content. Capsaicin-rich peppers like gochugaru, cayenne, and scotch bonnet have been valued for their warming, energizing properties and their role in supporting healthy metabolism. Garlic is one of the most traditionally-valued ingredients for supporting cardiovascular and immune health.
We don't make medical claims — but we do believe that when you cook with 35+ whole ingredients rooted in ten global traditions, your meals are doing more for you than just tasting good.
None of our blends are too spicy. They're flavorful, not fiery — built around aromatic whole spices, herbs, and roots, not heat. That said, a few blends have a kick from ingredients like scotch bonnet, gochugaru, cayenne, or black pepper. Here's how they rank from most kick to least:
Bottom Line: if you can handle black pepper on your dinner, you can handle any blend we make.
If you want bold and approachable: Korean or Greek. If you want the most complex flavor: Thai (13 ingredients). If you want the most balanced wellness profile: Turkish — it contains turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, oregano, and black pepper. If you want heat: Korean, Jamaican or Indian. If you want something unique: Peruvian or Lebanese. If you want smoky and warm: Jamaican — scotch bonnet, allspice, and cinnamon with a Caribbean soul. If you want herbal and clean: French — rosemary, thyme, and oregano straight from the countryside.
Sure! Every single ingredient is listed on our website.
Here's the thing — buying individual spices gets very expensive very fast. And you're stuck with a cabinet full of half-empty spice jars you'll never need again. We send you the perfect amount of spice blend in compostable packaging so you get all the flavor without the waste (or the spice jar graveyard in your pantry). Plus, each blend combines 8-13 whole ingredients that work together — you'd need a pretty serious spice collection to replicate that at home.
Each packet marinates about 1 lb of meat and takes just 1 minute to prep.
Mix 1 packet with ¼ cup yogurt (or olive oil). Coat 1 lb of meat thoroughly. Toss it in the fridge for at least 3 hours (overnight is ideal). Cook it however you want and dig in. You can't go wrong!
Yogurt is the marinade VIP! It naturally tenderizes meat (especially chicken) while forcing those flavors deep inside and keeping everything juicy during cooking.
But there's a wellness reason too — yogurt is rich in live cultures that support digestive health, plus calcium and protein. When you combine cultured dairy with whole spices like turmeric, ginger, and cumin, you're using the same preparation method that traditional cuisines from India to Turkey to Greece have relied on for centuries. Use whole milk yogurt for best results.
Any meat you've got! Chicken, beef, pork, lamb, fish — they all explode with flavor when you marinate them with our spice blends.
Get in there! Coat the meat evenly and thoroughly — every nook and cranny. The more coverage, the better the flavor.
At least 3 hours, but overnight in the fridge is where the magic happens. The longer it marinates, the better it tastes.
Nope! Leave it on. The marinade keeps your meat moist and locks in all that flavor while it cooks.
Absolutely. Freeze it for up to 1 month. Just thaw it in the fridge before cooking, and never re-freeze once it's thawed.
If it's touched raw meat, don't reuse it. Safety first!
Bundles are curated 3-blend collections grouped by the wellness properties of their ingredients. Each bundle is $99 (save 15% vs. buying three blends individually) and includes 30 packets — 10 per blend.

Most of our blends are completely sugar-free. Three exceptions: our Korean blend contains turbinado cane sugar, which is a less-refined sugar used in traditional Korean barbecue seasoning, our Turkish blend contains a small amount of jaggery powder, an unrefined cane sugar used traditionally in Turkish cooking, and our Jamaican blend contains brown sugar, a staple in traditional Jamaican jerk seasoning.
Every other blend — French, Greek, Indian, Lebanese, Moroccan, Peruvian, and Thai — has zero sugar. You can check the full nutrition info on each blend's product page.
All blends are vegan with no dairy, no gluten, no preservatives, and no artificial anything. Seven of our ten blends are completely sugar-free and keto/Whole30 compatible. Korean (turbinado cane sugar), Turkish (jaggery powder), and Jamaican (brown sugar) contain small amounts of sugar. The yogurt marinade method adds dairy, so if you're dairy-free, use olive oil instead.
Our spice blends are gluten-free and made with all-natural, high-quality ingredients but they're made in a facility that processes some allergens.
You'll find the sodium content under 'Nutrition Information' on each spice blend's page. For example, visit the Greek Spice Blend page and scroll down.
